Designs for Africa - The Song Birds

The creative team of white river design, have commenced a project called 'Designs for Africa'.

A logo, business cards and soon to be launched website have been created to help promote and gain exposure for a South African choir - The SongBirds. The choir comes from a rural town called Kabekweni in the provence of Mpumalanga. It is made up of young South Africans who have been singing together since they were at school.

Now wanting to forge a career in singing at weddings and corporate functions and events, White River Design felt that this was a wonderful group to provide sponsorship for. These talented young South Africans are amazing to watch and even more incredible to hear sing.

Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy

Since 2009, white river design has sponsored Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy by providing free graphic design to help promote the fantastic work that they do. We have sponsored the design of invitations to fundraising events, programs, retractable banners, promotional brochures and more. By providing them with this sponsorship, Nordoff Robbins can look more professional which assists them in getting more sponsors and supporters to continue their work.

Sponsoring a Child

In 2010 Debbie O'Connor and Marnie Tomczyk participated in a 40 Day Fitness and Charity Challenge that was facilitated by Hurricane Studios in Penrith. The aim was for the girls to reach their fitness goals in 40 days while raising money for their nominated charity, which was World Vision.

They achieved their goal in raising enough money to sponsor a young girl from Swaziland which is a landlocked country within South Africa and close to the town of White River where Debbie grew up.

white river design continues to support her and will do so until she is 18 and no longer on the World Vision program.

Mentoring

in 2006 Debbie participated in a Women In Business mentoring program as a mentee. This was a life changing experience for her with an incredible impact on her business. Since then Debbie has volunteered her time as a mentor on both The Young Entrepreneur's Program and Women In Business Mentoring programs. Debbie finds this a very rewarding process and takes great pride in the success of all of her mentees.

Great Community Transport

Over the years white river design has been proud to provide a number of creative solutions to Great Community Transport all free of charge. For larger projects that we could not as a small business fund ourselves, we still provided discount of 30%-50% to help GCT develop a brand image that will enhance the organisation. We have revamped their website, stationery, flyers, posters and even Christmas cards.

Women With Altitude

white river design is very proud to be a major supporter of this dynamic women's network. We have sponsored the design of the Women With Altitude website and brochures and plan to partner with them for many years to come as they support networking amongst business women in the Penrith and Blue Mountains region.
