Our Clean Office Environment

The team at white river design embrace a ‘clean’ working environment where we try to minimise our environmental footprint.

We have sourced printers that utilise environmentally friendly initiatives such as energy efficient factories, waste minimisation, elimination of water on the press, avoiding environmentally harmful chemicals and of course, using sustainable or recycled paper.

Our printers make an effort to use the majority of inks that are vegetable and soy-based rather than mineral based. They also use paper from sustainable forestry some of which is Elemental Chlorine Free (ECF) or EMS accredited (Environmental Management System).

One of our main suppliers has gone the extra mile by installing a waterless press. Waterless printing is an offset lithographic printing process that eliminates the water or dampening system used in conventional printing. There’s no more adjusting the ink zones, damping units and roller inking units, and no more controlling the ink-water equilibrium. The great thing about the waterless press is that we get faster turnaround times, more vibrant and accurate colour and improved consistency! Clean initiatives in this case have benefitted everyone!

In our office we have implemented some very simple recycling systems such as recycling office paper through the fax machine and recycling cardboard boxes by re-using them to package printing for our clients.

We have minimised our paper usage by embracing technology to give our clients their artwork proofs electronically rather than being printed. This not only cuts down on face-to-face presentation time which no one seems to have these days, but it also ensures that we use far less paper and printing materials in-house, therefore reducing our foot print even further.
