Business Branding

Branding your business is not something that we take lightly. Be assured that the white river design team is heavily invested in creating an image that you can be proud of - we have our reputation at stake!

To determine what brand architype you are we take you through a few exercises to determine what kind of look, feel and image you are wanting your brand to project. We define your target audience, their demographics, occupation and location before we settle on a strategy on how your brand will 'speak' to them. We talk about the importance of colour, it's meaning and assocation. Your USP (unique selling proposition) is discussed and brainstormed on how to project this as your key selling feature. Our team takes time to learn all about your business - how it works, what the customer experience is and how easy it is to do business with you.

Once we have defined your brand we start working on your logo design. A logo is not a brand in itself, but it is a very strong visual referrence that you need to get right from the beginning. Some people are surprised by this statement and think that if they have a logo they have a brand. Not so. The logo is part of your corporate identity, while your brand is what the customer preceives your business to be. If the customer thinks that your brand is innovative, forward thinking and a leader in your industry (Apple) or prestige, successful and expensive (Mercedes) they are putting this brand attribute towards your business. The trick is to send the correct brand message so that your customers think about the attributes that you want them to. Your logo is the foundation from which we build your brand so it needs to be made a priority in the brand developement strategy.
