Brand Personality: The Sage
St Dominic’s College was referred to us as they realised that something needed to be done about the all boy school’s brand. When working with management, we soon understood the limitations of branding a school, as we had to keep the old crest as part of the new look. We also had to incorporate a second logo (that of Edmund Rice Education Australia). None of the colours were similar!
We strategised a way to incorporate all four colours of the two logos into a way that would pull everything together. The look that we went for was that of a sophisticated, young gentleman’s college. Our aim was to bring vibrancy and interest to a previously lusterless image. We used the stripes of different widths and colours to demonstrate the diversity in the school. White is used a lot to keep the look clean, fresh and optimistic.
The college has been very open to our ideas and suggestions and is reaping the rewards of a rebrand that is positioning them as a school of excellence for young gentlemen.
“As the Communications Director for St. Dominic’s College I have worked quite closely with White River Design in many of my projects. They have overseen and facilitated the College’s new Branding Program and are responsible for many of our most important publications including the Prospectus, Yearbook and most of our advertising material.
I have nothing but praise for the entire staff at WRD. I have built up a great relationship with the White River team and I am always confident in their work, it is always efficient, effective and of the highest quality.
However the thing I like most about working with White River Design is their attitude of going above and beyond, I know no matter what problem may arise on my end of the project, their friendly team will have an answer.”
