Ensure that you include information about your products and services as well as a link to your website for those who want to know more. Create a balance between the useful information and the obvious ‘selling’ of your products or services. Remember, people don’t like to be sold to, but they do like to know where to go if they are needing what you offer.

As you can see, you can get a lot out of a newsletter. However, in order to get your news and information in front of your customers you need to have a database. Once you’ve got that set up please ensure that you have news that will be of interest to them, and don’t bombard them with newsletters too regularly. For online newsletters please keep in mind the anti spam laws and don’t just sign anyone up to receive them.
